Utah

We've done a lot of fun activities since being home. My mom had a little welcome home party for us at her house with the Bundy's, Skeen's and Grandma. We ate dinner, played some games and had s'mores.

As soon as the Hess' found out we were home, they wanted us to come over so they could go out to dinner. We played with the kids in the pool and then roasted marshmallows. Charlie and Lucy are such good swimmers! Poor Ruby broke her arm so could not get in the pool, but that didn't bother her!

We went to the Call's house on Sunday for an Olympic party. Some of the activities we did included: jumping off the rock, swim race, paddle boarding, went down the slide (creatively), shotput and did some gymnastics on their tramp. Grandma and Grandpa were the judges. We also had a delicious BBQ. It was a blast, but we mostly enjoyed seeing and hanging out with everyone!

We went to Bear Lake with my family on Monday. We rented a Jet Ski for 3 hours and had so much fun! I went with Jake and Cam on the Jet Ski for the first and last time. Jake, the driver, flipped us all off 6 times and since I was on the very back, I got flipped off a total of 9 times. I would say, "Okay Jake, lets go back!" And his reply would be, "Ok we can go back... back in the water!" What a silly boy.

After Bear Lake, we got in my parents new hot tub!

We went to the Hess' house for an afternoon with my mom, Bundy's, Skeen's, and Peterson boys. This summed up our 4 days in a row of water activities!

And last, but certainly not least... Wicked!!! Man, oh man, was it good! And I have to say it was even better the 3rd time around. I was quite jealous of my mom and Lindsey's 4th row seats however! And I just love that my mom was all decked out in her green and black Elphaba attire.

Fort Collins

We had originally planned on driving home all day Sunday and getting to Fort Collins late that night. But, last minute, we decided to just drive through the night on Saturday. So, I spent all of Saturday packing up and loading the car up... by myself. Then I left at about 5:30 to go pick up Brad from his area, 1 1/2 hours away. I decided to would be fun to knock a couple doors with him and to see what he had to do everyday. We only knocked about 5 doors and talked to 2 people, and I was already tired! It just made me look up to him even more for doing it all day everyday for the whole summer (x4). It was kind of fun to see the sunset and then rise while we were driving. We switched off about every 3 hours and luckily it went fairly quick. We arrived at Kylee and Brody's house at about 9:00, just before they were headed out to church and both showered and took a good long nap.

Later that day, we went to a festival in downtown Fort Collins. It was crazy how many people were there, but it was a lot of fun. Then we went to to this awesome candy/soda shop called Rocket Fizz. They have hundreds of different flavors of soda's. You name it, they've got it! Some of the more interesting ones included; peanut butter and jelly, buffalo wild wings, green apple jalapeno, cotton candy, black licorice, s'mores, bacon, and hot ginger ale.

We ended the night with a bike ride around their neighborhood and a round of Rook (girls won).

On Monday, Brad and I hung out at Kylee and Brody's house while they went to work. We bought an ipad that day so spent most of the day playing on that. When they got home, we went on a hike up to the 'A'. I thought it was so awesome because we could walk there from their house, and it had an awesome view of Horsetooth Reservoir on the other side. However, we were pretty disappointed by the 'A' when we got to the top because it just looked like a bunch of rocks painted white.

Kylee and I doing our best to make an 'A'! We went to dinner at Moe's BBQ and played more rook. (boys won)
On Tuesday, Brad and I decided to head down to Denver to go to the Aquarium. It was probably the best aquarium I've ever been to- hence the many pictures. We went on Tiger Tuesday and got to see the training that they do with the Tiger where he jumps in the water, which was pretty cool. Brad and I were both brave and touched the stingray. We also went to Subway and to the Mall while down there. Kylee had made a yummy dinner when we got home, then we played a tie-breaker game of rook (boys won) and then watched Jurassic Park. I'm so glad that we were able to spend a couple days with Kylee and Brody (both before going to Texas and after). They are such great hosts and we love them both!

And we, of course, had to stop at Little America on the way back to Utah for ice-cream cones.

Concert and baseball game

For our BBQ one Sunday, we went to a nearby park. The boys played some kick ball and the girls hung out. I enjoyed playing with Crosby and baby Madyson.

I was able to go with two of the other wives to a Kenny Chesney & Tim McGraw concert on Saturday! It was so much fun and I am so glad I decided to go. It was in Houston (3 hours away) so we were gone for 12 hours. Brad has been working in a city two hours away and staying in hotels so I had not seen him all week. He came back saturday night at about 11 and we didn't get home until about 1:30, but luckily our three husbands got together to watch the Olympics until we got home. Jake Owen and Grace Potter opened for them and Tim and Kenny both did such a great job. We had to leave during Kenny's (before they sang together) so that we didn't get home super late.

Me, Kiera, and Lauren

Yesterday, we got some free tickets to go to a Round Rock baseball game. It was so much fun and we love being with the Moss'!
