First half of July

Since Texas Tech Campus is right by our apartments, we decided to walk around it one Sunday. It's a cool campus with tons of cool archways and older buildings.

We went outside to take pictures of these girls in their cute new dresses.

I went to lunch with all the other wives before a few of them left to go home to Utah.

We went to Old Navy and found out they had a big sale going on! Everything was over %50 off! So I bought 7 shirts for $16! Then we went to target and I found a cute dress for $8 and swim bottoms (that I needed) for $5. So it was a pretty good day! :)

We went to dinner again with the White's- this time to On the Border. Krista and I were matching and we didn't even plan it!

We went to Water Rampage with our friends. It was a pretty fun water park. They had a wave pool, two slides, a lazy river and a kiddy area. We brought yummy chicken salad sandwiches and snacks for lunch.

We went to the hot tub at our apartments after with the White's.

And just for fun... here are some pictures that we got photo bombed by our friends. :)

4th of July

The Sunday before the 4th, we got together with some friends and bought some fireworks, and then went to the church to light them off.

We made crepes for dinner one night and made this cute flag for the toppings.

On July 3rd, we made these cute and yummy treats: muddy buddies, rice krispies treats, and caramel pretzels. We went to the drive-in movie of Despicable Me 2 and Monster's University. We put little treat bags together and made a bed in the back of Nick's truck with one of my extra mattresses and couch cushions. We also brought Mindi's SUV to sit in the back of so that we would be able to fit everyone.  We picked up firehouse subs for dinner and got there an hour before the movie started, thinking that would be plenty early.. but boy were we wrong! That got us in the second to last row. But we still had fun, and enjoyed both the movies. The boys were able to meet us there and only missed the first 20 minutes of Despicable Me.

On the 4th, all the wives got together to go to the parade that was two blocks away from our apartments. It was nice to just be able to walk there. Afterwards we walked to Firehouse Subs for lunch, and then to Bahama Bucks.

Brad was able to get off early and was home at about 6:30. It was so weird to have him home so early, but so nice! We hung out, then went with the rest of the office to buy more fireworks. We found a parking lot and had pizza and the boys played football, then we did fireworks. We were in the perfect place and were able to see the city fireworks as well. It was a great day!

Rest of June

We went to Chuck-E-Cheese's for London's 2nd birthday.

I may take a lot of pictures of this cute girl and her sister, but its my life right now, so get used to it! ;)

For the past two Saturdays, we have gone out to dinner with our new friends, Krista and Clayton.  We went to Chili's and to Raising Cane's (a chicken place).

Swimming at our pool makes for the perfect summer activity!

We went to a cute candy and ice cream store that is near our apartments. They had a bunch of candy with bugs in them, and just plain crickets (bottom left picture). They said that everyone loves them and they always sell out of these first! They made me think of Brody and Bundy.. anyone need me to go back and buy some?? ;)

I set up all of the extra mattresses at my apartment in one of the extra bedrooms so that the girls can jump on them. They quite enjoy it! ;)

Lubbock had a critter fest at the science museum one weekend. It was basically like baby animal days, but better! They had tons of animals including chicks, alligators, snakes, pony's (to ride), zebra, camel, pigs, bunnies, llamas, goats, an elephant, you name it! You could hold the big, yellow snake... but I was much to scared to do that! I kinda wish I would have just to say I did it though. You could also ride an elephant! Again, I wish I would have- but nobody wanted to ride it with me, so I didn't do it.

Then of course we had to play with the bubbles and in the kid area after.

Just Brad and I and some really dark skies on a rainy day.

Blowing bubbles and eating popcorn on the porch. It's the little things...

Krista did our nails for the 4th of July. I love how they turned out!
