Random

Brad and I babysat some kids from my work about a week after we got home. The twins have just started crawling within the last couple of months. Well, I guess I should say- Ruby has started crawling. Lucy, scoots and I love it!
You have to watch this- It is the cutest/funniest thing ever! :) I hope it works, I've never put a video on here.

Aren't they the cutest, most chubby little twin girls ever?

I have loved cooking so far. I need to be more organized like my mom, I'll get there one day hopefully. As you may have noticed.. I have a new look on the side of my blog. I made a list of goals. Ok, I got this idea from Kylee and I'm not going to lie, I stole some of her goal ideas. Sorry Ky, hope that's ok.. I just wanna be just like you! ;) But I have a goal of cooking at least 3 times a week. That may seem pretty easy, but considering we go to my parents for dinner on Thursdays, we usually eat leftovers, something easy, or go out on Fridays and Saturdays and we are at our parents/grandparents on Sundays, I only have Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday to cook. So far so good though!
All until my failed creamy potato soup. I may or may not have stirred the flour in too fast. It tasted alright, just didn't look great. Oops.

We love going to basketball games and cheering our Ag's on to victory. Who needs a Jimmer anyways? I'm sure most of you heard about the amazing Aggie game last week, but I'll tell about it anyways. During half time, Tai dunked it, and shattered the backboard. They had to bring in a new one and it took about a half an hour to switch. As they were getting the new one on, it shattered again. They must have tightened it too much or something. So then they brought in a replacement hoop and standard. All in all, we were waiting for about 45 min. It was a crazy game!

This is what we found after the game: about 7-8" of snow. Plus we got about 8-9" four days later. But it make for great skiing days for us! We love skiing/snowboarding. We try to go every Saturday and we have gone a lot of Wednesdays afternoons. That's the best, because nobody is there and we can go for a few hours without having to wait in line for half the time.

My good friend texted me on Wednesday and said that she had some exciting news. She is going on a mission to the Marshall Islands. I am so beyond excited for her! She is going to be an awesome missionary.

Tour

Welcome to our casa. Isn't our little red door so cute? We live in the basement of a house on 7th north and about 2nd east, and we love it! Let me take you on a tour. You walk in the door and go directly downstairs. We have hooks right by our front door and I love that so that we don't have to run up and down the stairs to grab a coat.
This is our kitchen/family room. They are pretty much the same room (you can tell on the second collage on the left). Our kitchen is pretty small, but it works for two people. I took these pictures after I heart attacked Brad, so you'll get to see a little of that. The heater is one of our favorite features of the house. It's so nice to have on a cold day since we don't control the temperature of the heat in the house. Brad's parents were nice and let us borrow some of their old couches from the cabin. Needless to say, they were not pretty so we threw some sheets over them. I know it doesn't look great, but it's better than the couches, trust me. We didn't want to buy new couches and then have to store some for the summer while we are gone, so we are planning on buying some when we get back after the summer.

This is our second bedroom. aka our computer/jacket/stuff from wedding that we haven't found a home for yet room.
Since there are not many drawers or cupboards in our kitchen, most of our food is in the pantry which is in the laundry room. There are tons of shelves (on both sides too) so it is way nice, but it kinda sucks not having it in the kitchen and having to go back and forth. We love that the house came with a washer and dryer (along with cable and internet).
This is our bathroom. Pretty small, but it's just fine!
Ok, so this is where the main heart attack action was- our bedroom. We just bought our bedding and I am loving it a lot more than I thought I would. I love love that there were 2 dressers built in plus one in the closet.
Well, that's about it. Hope you enjoyed the tour. ;)

Valentines Day

Ok people.. why I have been so terribly bad at taking pictures, well I couldn't tell you. I had all intentions of taking a lot of really good pictures on Valentines Day and doing an awesome post.. but that didn't happen. So, sorry they're not the best pictures. But I'll tell you all about it cause it was the best day! :) It started off in the morning. I got up a little early so that I could make some red/pink french toast with special syrup and pink milk. I had classes from 8:30-10:30. After class, Brad came to give me his car so he could go to his one class like we usually do. I get to the car and he comes out with a rose. He told me that the song playing was our song for the day. It was "In Her Eyes" and also told me to read the note inside the rose. It said: Go home and look for clues that start with "I love you because" (there are 11). I go home and to my surprise, there were 11 roses all over the house, each with a note of why he loves me. Each one of them, he put in a spot that went along with why he loves me; "You're a good cook" (on the stove), "We have so much fun together" (by our skiis), etc. It was very cute and he was very creative. I loved it so much.
I only had an hour to do everything that I had planned for Brad. I made some heart shaped sugar cookies, made him a heart shaped sandwich for lunch along with a pink Oreo pop my mom and I had made on Sunday. I put some valentines candy on our bed and put little cut-out hearts down the stairs and balloons in our room. I didn't have time to frost all of the cookies, so I just did one for each of us and then we frosted them together and I took them to my kids at work. I also had heart attacked him a few days early because I knew I wouldn't have time to do it all yesterday- and I was right!

When I got home from work, Brad surprised me and took me to Hamilton's for dinner. It was so crowded, but it was delicious. This picture is not great of me, but I wanted to show our cute pink/red shirts.
My family has a tradition of getting a heart-shaped pizza on Valentines day. I was going to make one yesterday, but since Brad took me out, I decided to still make the pizza today. I thought it turned out pretty good. Valentines was the best day ever. Brad and I are so in love and we love being married. :)
