This month was full of exciting/not so exciting things!!
One night, Kylee, my mom and I made a bunch of cards. It was fun to spend the night with those girls.
My two good friends, Mikell and Kelsey had their babies just one day apart from each other! We loved going to see them both in the hospital, and visiting them at their house several other times.

I loved loved having Kylee here for two whole weeks. I just love her!
Kylee, Brad and I had a sleepover at the Bundy's. We had dinner and played some games. The boy's went to a USU basketball game and then played video games all night. Us girls had fun playing tag, hide and seek (we would hide one of the girls really good and then play hot & cold), watching movies, and painting our toes. In the morning, we went to Kneaders for yummy french toast and hot chocolate.
I took the Hess girls' to a Princess Party that was held at the institute. It was pretty legit- they had every princess there, and a bunch of activities for the girls to do including: getting make-up done (and hair-which we did not do ;)), painting nails, getting pictures taken, making treasure boxes and wands, eating a snack, etc. We had so much fun and I was glad I was able to take them.
Andi came home from her mission while I was in Peru and I hadn't seen her since she left (besides a run-in at old navy). Actually I hadn't really seen any of my high school friends for a while. So when Andi texted me to invite me over for a girls day one Saturday, I was more than happy to go! We watched the Vow and ate treats. Everyone brought cookies, unplanned, so it ended up being a cookie party too!

Probably one of the worst and most scary days of my life happened on Thursday, January 24th at about 8:45am. I was driving out to Smithfield to nanny and I was in Brad's truck, since he had taken my car to go do a pre-season trip in Idaho. I really wasn't too worried about the roads being slick since I was in the truck, and had it in 4-wheel drive. But all of a sudden, at 2600 N Main, my back end started to fish tail and I tried to stay in my lane and keep driving as normal. However, I went out of control and crossed into on-coming traffic where a car t-boned the passenger side of the truck. All I remember thinking was, 'oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh'. There were two cars that stopped to see if we were ok- one of which almost got hit by the snowmobile that came flying out the back of the truck. I got out to see if the other driver was ok- it was an 18 year old girl and she was bleeding on her face and not responding to anyone. I don't think I've ever felt worse about anything! A cop took me into his car where I called, Leinani (who I was going to nanny for), Brad, my mom (who didn't answer), and my dad. I held it together pretty well until I started talking to Brad, then I started to cry! They did some tests on me to make sure that everything was ok with me. They told me that they didn't see anything life-threatening with the other girl but that they were going to take her to the hospital. Brad had been planning on coming home that night, or the next day but he left as soon as I called him and was home by noon. I was VERY lucky to have walked away from the crash with nothing but a burn on my hand from the airbag, a small bruise on my knee, and a sore neck the next day. I was issued a ticket for 'driving too fast for conditions' even though I was just following traffic and going about 10 under. I made it into the newspaper the next morning, although they said that it was Brad driving.
The very next day was MUCH better! My little brother received his mission call! He will be serving in the Washington Everett mission- speaking English and leaves on May 22nd. I am so proud of Jake and I know he will be a great missionary! The people of Washington are very lucky! Grandma and Grandpa Weyerts came over and we had dinner and played a fun dice game called tenzi afterwards.
We spent a fun weekend with the Wheelwrights. We started by going snowmobiling up to the cabin. Ben, Katie and Bryce all came. Unfortunately it was not great snow so we had to just stay on the roads. We drove up to the cabin and hung out there for a bit; making snowman, snow angels, and having snow ball fights. We felt like kids again- it was fun!
Saturday night we watched a movie on their new big screen (they inherited it after Ann's mom passed away). We went to church with them on Sunday and then Ben and Katie came up for dinner. It had been snowing all day, so Brooke and Elgin didn't want to drive in it (don't blame them!) My cute nephew is walking now! He is getting so big. We played some games and had some snacks. We decided that since I didn't have to work in the morning, that we would spend another night and leave in the morning, so that we didn't have to drive in the snow. Driving home still scared me- but we made it! ;)
Love these handsome boys that I get to nanny!
Not pictured:We attended the viewing and funeral services of Brad's sweet Grandma. The viewing was in Layton, but she was buried in Smithfield. She was a great lady and she will be greatly missed.
We played rook with the Bundy's (boys against girls) and decided that the winners got to choose a date night for us all to go on and the losers couldn't complain. The girls won! We drove to Ogden, where we rode the front runner to Salt Lake. We did a little shopping, had dinner and saw an I-Max movie about Polar Bears. It was a fun night!

You have had an eventful month! I too am still traumatized by your crash. I'm so grateful you're OK. Such a scary experience. Lets have that be the last of crashes for you, OK? I wonder if you've ever done, or will ever do a post w/o pictures and activities of kids and babies. . .I really love that about you-that you love kids so much!
Great report Jessica! I'm so glad you weren't hurt in the accident. Yikes! Hope the rest of your life is accident free!
Dang it! I left a really long comment the other night on my phone and it didn't work! Stupid phone. So this comment may not be as good as my first one. That princess party you took the girls to is really cute. I liked seeing some pictures I hadn't seen yet. That picture of the twin boys makes it look like that are joined at the hip! One body with two heads! Car crashes really stink. I'm sorry it keeps happening to you! Hopefully never again.
Oh and I like your one eyed snowman.
I'm glad you have had such great family fun to make up for the crash! That had to be so scary and I'm so glad you were safe.
