Since you've been gone

Alright, so I guess I've had a little too much time on my hands this past week and I spent a few hours trying to figure out a new editing program. We went snowshoeing with my parents, Trace, Jamie and Ryan one Saturday. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!

Brad's birthday was on a sunday so I got up early, made him french toast with special syrup, then we went to church. We had our home teachers over and I made brad his request of chicken roll-ups and then we went to my parents. Brad watched TV/took a nap while my mom and I made his request of costa vida sweet pork burritos and better than anything cake. The Bundys came over as well. We ate, played who knows Brad best (Lindsey won!- not counting my mom), opened presents and had cake. I gave him a wii, but we decided to return it and are gonna put the money towards a new flat screen. My mom gave him a game for the Wii (but we exchanged it for a PS2 one), the movie inception, and a head lamp. I think he was pretty spoiled! It was a great day.

So, as you all probably know.. Brad has been in Florida since monday selling alarms for spring break. I've been so sad without him, but I have kept myself very busy. I worked everyday for about 6 hours, I have done all of our returns from the wedding. We got in store credit for just about everything we returned, and look at all of those cards! I counted them all up and it is over $800. WOW!!
Ok- a few of them were from Christmas and apx parties, but still! The nordstrom one is a good story. We went to Provo a couple weeks ago for an apx party and there were about 8 prizes, and 50+ people there. Brad and I both won something AND were in the final 2 for another. I got the $100 nordstrom for sliding my phone closest to a bottle without hitting it and Brad won a gift card to a hat place for winning rock-paper-scissors. It was a great night!

I've really tried to finish my thank-you cards.. but I am only about half way. I guess Brad will have to help me with them when he gets home.

And.. my wedding scrapbook. I still have 7 more pages to do, but considering I have done 13 pages, that is pretty good. Hopefully I can finish that today and tomorrow.

Oh my!! I totally wish I was as good as you are with your wedding scrapbook. I haven't even touched our photos-I'm finally thinking of just accepting the fact that I will probably never get to it, and should just do an online photo book:(.

You have been a busy, productive girl this week. I too have loved having you around. Seems like old time, although we miss Brad- it's not the same w/o him! I love how your wedding pages turned out- you're so creative!

Great post Jess. Don't you love Picnic editing program? Lydia loves to sit next to me and see your blog. We need to have you guys out some night before Brad leaves this summer. That is a LOT of thank you cards to write, and a lot of gift cards to use. Fun times!

Snowshoeing looks fun!! I've only done it once, but I liked it. Have some gift cards!! Those will be nice to have though, as long as you can find something you want/need in that store! Happy birthday to Brad! It sounds like he had a good day and I'm sure you love being back together again. Can't wait to see your wedding scrapbook. From the pictures, it looks super cute! Oh, and great job with the editing... it looks great!!
