Our bunco party this month was Valentines theme AND we had our husband come with us this time! It was lots of fun, and I think the guys even had fun. They played their own game and played for money. We had it at the Vivint building since nowhere else was big enough for 24 people! The Eliason's were so nice and payed to have Cafe Rio cater it. We also made a little photo booth which was fun.
We watched the first half of the super bowl at my parents, then we went to the Searles for the second half. Unfortunately, I was not feeling good and didn't feel like eating anything so I missed out on all the yummy food they had.
We started up a little dinner group with the Galvins. Every week, we switch off going to each others houses and making dinner for each other. Its been fun getting together with them every week (when Brad is not gone). This time, we watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics and Kelsey planned some fun Olympic games/trivia. I ended up being the winner! She even made us medals and had us stand on 'pedestals'. What great friends we have!
Braxten turned two and we were able to go to his birthday party. We had dinner at Ben and Katie's with the family, then some of Katie's family joined us for cake and to watch Braxten open his presents. I, of course, loved holding Carter most the time. Braxten is such a cute, funny and smart little boy. I can't believe he is already two!
For Valentines day, we got our traditional heart shaped pizza, then went to the movie 'Endless Love'. I got Brad some squeez applesauce with a note that said 'You're my main squeeze', made him muffins with a note that said 'You are a stud muffin', and I got him some new shirts. Brad got me a cute ottoman to put at the foot of our bed that I am so excited about! And my mom gave us some treats- the rollo's are wrapped up with a note that says, you guys are the bomb!
I was able to go to Fort Collins with my mom for the weekend. Brody went to Africa for 3 weeks for work, so my mom and I went to keep Ky company and to help set up her nursery! We left Thursday morning and the drive went super quick. We got to Fort Collins right when Kylee was getting off work, so we met her at the elementary school so we could see where she works. Then we did a little shopping to get some paint, a crib mattress and some new baby clothes at gymboree, of course! ;) It's so fun knowing that she is having a boy so that we can shop for him now! We went to Firehouse pizza for dinner.
Friday and Saturday mostly consisted of painting furniture for the nursery. We primed and painted the dresser, crib, a bookshelf and a mirror. We also painted the walls. We may or may not have spilled a cup of paint on the carpet... oops! But, don't worry- we got it clean!
I love the way everything turned out and can't wait to see it when the room is completely finished!
Besides painting, we also went out to eat, went for walks, made two new pinterest foods that were so delicious, watched home videos, the olympics and Frozen and just enjoyed being together!
On Sunday, we went to church with Ky and finished a few things before we had to leave to go home. It was short trip, but we sure packed in a lot of fun things! I'm happy I was able to go, it was so fun to be with just my mom and sister for a few days. And.. look at Kylee's cute belly! ;) Can't wait for that baby boy to get here!
I got a text from my mother-in-law on Thursday Feb 20th saying that Brooke's water broke and she was at the hospital, but that they were going to try to keep the baby in as long as possible. Brooke was not due until April 15th. Well the sweet girl couldn't wait and was born on Feb 23rd. Luckily she is healthy and such a little fighter. She will be in the NICU until probably April. She weighed 3 pounds 10 ounces and they named her Aideen Lily Moore. I can't wait to meet this little miracle baby!!
I hosted a baby shower for my friend Kristina Peterson. We have been friends since 2nd grade! She is due in April with a baby girl. I decided to go with the ABC theme again. We played a few games, but mostly everybody just wanted to talk! One of the games we played was where everybody had to guess how many letters were in the jar. Meghan guessed it right on (432)! Seriously, what are the chances?? The other game we played was also my gift to Kristina. I put a baby item in each bag that started with each letter of the baby's name- Brooklyn. Here is what I put inside, in case you wanted to know. ;)
Bib, Rattle, Onesie, Oatmeal cereal, Kleenex, Lotion, Yogurt puffs, and Nail clippers
We forgot to get a picture before people started leaving, but here is half the group that came! I'm so excited for Kristina and can't wait to meet her little girl!
