We had a very busy month again!
We had a little Super Bowl party and had lots of yummy snacks. I decided to make football oreos, chocolate covered strawberries and deviled eggs. Bundy and Lydia came over to watch it with us. Even though I am not too into football, it was still fun to get together and eat some good food! :)
This year, my Grandma decided to celebrate Chinese New Year. She told us that whoever wore the most red got a prize. Well my family outdid ourselves just a bit (especially my mom and I) and it was obvious who the winners were! It was fun to see how many items of red clothing we had! We had some yummy Chinese food and made a snake- since this is the year of the snake.
We had our anual heart-shaped pizza the day before Valentines Day with the Bundy's. I got to tend my sweet niece (friend's baby) and enjoyed every second of it! Lindsey made fantastic smoothies and then we watched Survivor.
Brad spoiled me with a dozen roses on Valentines Day. My mom also left us a cute little presents and hearts on our mirror in our bathroom. I gave Brad 14 presents- for the 14 days of Valentines all in one day (since I wasn't prepared to do one everyday up till Valentines day. ;)) Then we went to the Skeen's that night for dinner and a fun game of Valentine Trivia.
I helped babysit the Jenkins while their parents were celebrating their 10 year anniversary. I always have a lot of fun with these kids!
I took the older kids to the Fun Park one day and they had a blast. They got a ton of tickets and got to take home some fun prizes. Kalani especially liked the jump roping one.
Brad's little brother, Dallen got home from his mission on February 26!!! I got the day off of work so we could go down to the airport and pick him up. It was so exciting to see him and we loved chatting and catching up with him all day.
Meeting his nephew Braxten..
Brothers
Proud parents
Keeping Braxten entertained
Dallen went to the SAME mission and left/came home on the SAME day as his best friend! How lucky are they??! We went out to eat with his family to Cafe Rio afterwards.
Brad's birthday was the very next day! His choice for dinner was to Texas Roadhouse so he could get his favorite- ribs! We invited the Bundy's to come and since Emma's birthday is on the 1st of March, we gave her a present to open at dinner and she got to ride on the saddle.
We came home and opened presents. We saw a little bit of a 'health theme' going on this year: basketball shoes, socks and a basketball from me.. and a magic bullet, and protein powder from my mom. I made his favorite- banana cream pie- for dessert. Happy 26 years to my favorite guy on this planet!
