May

This month was pretty low key and I don't have a ton of pictures. But it was a good, fun month.
As always, we enjoy our days at Bahama Bucks. :) All the wives are out here now so it's been fun to get together with them to hang out.

During the summer, Vivint always does little competitions for the wives every month. This month, we were supposed to get together and take pictures at 3 different places. 1) a local treat or restaurant that our city/state is notorious for 2) a famous landmark 3) and, a sign with our office city name on it.
So we all went out to lunch one Saturday to One Guy's which was way yummy and then went to a candy store that we went to last year and loved! Then we walked across the street to take a picture on campus and got a two for one since it said Lubbock on a sign there.  And we also put in our picture from Bahama Bucks.
For the drawing this month, anyone who put their picture in, got their name put in a drawing. Anyone who won, got $30 per wife for dinner. And guess what? We won!! Along with about 30 other teams... haha but we are still excited!

Mothers day was great as always, but even more so since we got to talk to Jake and Drew! After church, we walked around the temple- which is one of my favorite things to do. Then, we were able to skype with Jake and the rest of the fam for about 3 hours! Unfortunately, the skype wasn't working great to have all 4 different skypes on at the same time, unless we turned our video off. So nobody was able to see us, but they could hear us and we were still able to see everybody, so it was good! It was awesome that Jake was able to talk for so long. Drew called while we were still talking to Jake so Brad and Dallen went in our bedroom and talked to him on Brad's phone and I went back and forth. They are both doing great and I can't believe how fast time has gone since they left. Drew will be home in October, and Jake just hit his year mark this month.

My favorite- Kamrie and Kinlee. From left to right: *We took them to the mall to go on the rides and get popcorn. *Kinlee modeling one of the headbands I made. :)  *I went over a few times in the mornings to babysit while Nick and Mindi went to CrossFit. Kamrie was usually asleep, but I enjoyed snuggling and playing with Kinlee. *Kamrie has been obsessed with mermaids, and Mindi and I thought it would be cute to make her a mermaid skirt. It seemed easy enough, so I gave it a try. It turned out so cute, so I had to make Kinlee one too. I was a sad girl when these two and their mom left to go home for (what was supposed to be) 3 1/2 weeks for Kamrie's preschool graduation and dance competition. I was even more sad when I found out they are not going to come back except for a few visits. I'm glad that I have made some new friends out here that I can hang out with, but I sure will miss Mindi and her girls.

We started doing something that we have never done before in the summers. We bought a gym pass so that we could work out! Brad has been going every morning for the past week with his friend, Ethan- who has taken on the roll of his personal trainer. ;) He tells him what to do for his work out and tells him what to eat. Brad is hoping to lose weight this year instead of gain weight like every other summer. My friends and I go to some classes a couple times a week while the guys are gone. Our favorite is one called Zumba toning. It kicks our butt, but we feel great after. One time after working out, we climbed this tramp thing to the top. It was actually a lot harder than it looks because the strings were really stretchy. But it was fun and we got a good laugh at it.

We have spent a few days laying out by the pool, and guess what? I got sunburned! It was my fault, since I didn't put sunscreen on.. but I have only gotten burnt one other time that I can remember.

We have kept our tradition of going out to eat every Saturday night with friends. This night, we went to Logan's Roadhouse. The coolest thing happened to us! First off, we had the best waiter because we thought we were going to have 7 people, so he put us at a table. Then we found out there were going to be 3 more guys coming, so he pulled up a table right next to ours, blocking the walkway so that we could all sit together. When we were getting done eating, we asked to get our ticket, and he said, 'It's done, don't worry about it. Some guy at the bar paid for you guys.' How awesome is that? People are so nice. We wish we could have thanked him!
